When looked after properly, natural and engineered stone products will truly last
a lifetime, providing you with years of enjoyment.
The Basics
- Do not place any hot dishes directly on a stone surface (even if your supplier says
you can!)
- Use mats or a trivet under hot dishes
- Use placemats for items that can scratch the surface. Examples are ceramic dishes,
silverware or china
- Use coaster for glasses
- Remember that many of the foods we consume are acidic in nature and will etch the
surface of softer stones like marble
